Are you using Photoshop or Gimp? Hmm, I'll have to check it out...
Hi Bill!
I am using CS4, i downloaded your "Trippy pattern 1". But i can not load it into brushes.
so i used it as textures and my pics did not look good.
I really like your pattern brushes very much.
Thank you,
Bill!
I just went to Flickr, you have a lot of beautiful pictures.
I like them very much, i wish i could create my pics like yours.
you are very artistic!
Cheers,
Hmm, being a .pat file for patterns, they are very small resolution and are meant for tiling or repeating seamlessly as a background, etc. A brush would be a .abr file and is different from a pattern (.pat) so make sure you are putting them in the correct folders for Photoshop. Once you get that going, you should be able to use the paint bucket tool with the pattern you want.
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!
First of all to Bill, thanks so much for this free brush and texture site. I will be able to get down to the real meat of my project instead of having to re-invent the wheel!
Secondly to anyone else, I will not only be telling all I know to go pro on this site I will be donating at the first of the month. Yes, they are all free, but even if you are on SSI (like me) you can afford something to give back so do it please!!! Support this site!!
Again much thanks ,

Thank you very much, fergthetestmonkey! I am glad you find texturemate useful!
First I am new, so I have not downloaded these particular brushes... But I have found that if a brush is blurry or does not give the desired effect, just create it at full size as a black and white image, use a little sharpening of the image then re-saving it can fix the problem. Takes a minute or two but saves a lot of issues.
Hope this helped some.

Oh, Bill? ThanX!!! ;)

Good idea, sometimes some of the backgrounds or things I make are not quite as high resolution as I would like them to be...
I find that sometimes those little imperfections can add a sense of ambiance to certain works. So far I love what I am seeing here!!!
