Today was sunny outside, so I was able to get some decent lighting on quite a few texture surfaces. All in all, I was able to upload about 200 royalty-free textures. Remember, these textures are free for both personal and commercial use, so enjoy!
A large batch of textures has been categorized and uploaded, adding to the total count of over 4,000 royalty-free textures! I've also requested some clarifications on texture use and licensing. Texturemate textures are free for commercial use and also free for personal use.
I spent some time in an old industrial park over the weekend and was able to snap shots of over 150 industrial textures. They are mostly brick, but there are also wood, metal, and quit a few with various pipes and things in them. The lighting was pretty good, so most of these grungy textures worked out. There are some cement and gravel textures in there as well. Hope you enjoy these free textures!
Recently, I've been cleaning up the texturemate website a bit. The social media share buttons have been cleaned up. The share button service has also been switched to one that works better. Unfortunately, all counts are reset to zero though. The site in general should be faster overall and provide quicker downloads of free textures!
A hundred new free textures for download have been added of various categories and colors. A couple new categories were also made, Fire and Ice! This addition of winter textures should help out with your art projects.
Due to more recent requests, I've added over 50 more textures. I had a lot of requests for snow textures, so that's what many of them are. I also noticed that texturemate also has over 2500 registered users!
Texturemate now has over 2000 users! A lot of you guys have been becoming Pro Users as well! I appreciate the donations, hope you enjoy the ad-free browsing! I hope to add more brushes and textures in the near-future.
Texturemate now has over 1500 users signed up with the site! Thanks everyone for supporting texturemate and keeping it running! As always, your feedback is appreciated to help improve the site as it has over the last few years. I look forward to 2013 and what it will bring for texturemate.com.
Every resource provided on texturemate is considered completely royalty free! The stock textures, texture packs, brush packs, and any other resources available for download on this site are completely free and may be used in commercial or non-commercial applications. Credit to texturemate for use of available textures or brushes is appreciated, but not required. These textures may be used in 3D modeling software packages where their appearance is altered, such as Blender, 3DS Max, Solidworks, CAD, or Second Life. They may also be used in scrapbooking applications. The only exception is that they cannot be redistributed commercially in their unedited form. These textures cannot be re-packaged and resold without significant modifications to their appearance. Brush packs may be used to create unique images in Gimp or Adobe Photoshop, but they cannot be redistributed without being significantly edited. Any resource on texturemate may be linked to when sharing information or resources to others.
My name is Bill Scott; I'm an Electrical Engineer who dabbles as a photographer, graphic artist, web designer, and 3d modeler in my spare time. I created texturemate as my portal to share my own texture images, stock photographs, brushes and other resources I create with others online. I hope you enjoy!
